Rare Commonwealth Silver Strainer Spoon, fully hallmarked for London 1657;

Approximately 11 Inches in length. The wooden handle is a later replacement.

This piece would have been part of a communion set being used to remove the residues from the wine. The maker GB over a flower is noted in Jacksons as having made two communion flagons in the following year, belonging to the church of St Peter-le-Poer in the city of London.
