Description
A rare early Norwegian silver and parcel gilt spoon, c.1590; with a’ ball knop’, and the stem decorated with a face; IHS monogram in the bowl. For a spoon of similar style see ‘100 Norske Solverskjeer’ by Hans Johan Storesund -Spoon No.2. The spoon is 16 cms long and weighs 2 ozs approx.
