A rare and pretty little Charles II period pin/needle case in the form of a book; English c.1660; the tortoiseshell outer panels are intricately decorated with silver pique work; the silver mounts have two clasps which open to reveal what appear to be the original cloth leaves inside for the pins or needles.

5.9 cms high; 4.1 cms wide and 1 cm thick.
