Description
A Sri Lankan – Portuguese devotional pendant c.1700; the mother of pearl crucifix is mounted with gold filigree; the mother of pearl is engraved with a scene of the crucifixion on the one side, and Mary Magdalene on the reverse; traces remain of the paints used to highlight these scenes; height is 6 cms and 4 cms wide.
